Our team is growing, and we’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Automation QA Engineer based in Malta!

The Senior Automation QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our casino games and underlying core services. Working closely with cross-functional development teams, this role creates comprehensive test plans, executes test cases, and automates testing processes—taking ownership of extending a shared in-house framework that tests a portfolio of 400+ games.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts in TypeScript using Playwright and our shared in-house framework.
• Own, maintain, and extend a shared automation framework testing a global portfolio of 400+ games and backend services.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure the reliability and scalability of our games and platform architecture.
• Identify, document, and track software defects with clear, detailed technical documentation.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve reported issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain and optimize CI test pipelines, test execution reporting, and automation workflows.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level QA engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes, standards, and automation methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, modern tooling, and emerging trends in QA and test automation.
• Provide technical leadership and coordination for assigned QA projects, workstreams, or engineering initiatives.

THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, alongside solid Playwright experience (or comparable modern test automation frameworks).
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, maintaining, and extending automated test frameworks.
• Solid working knowledge of CI/CD systems, pipelines, and test reporting tools/services.
• Experience with API test automation and performance testing techniques.
• Domain experience within the iGaming or casino software industry is considered a strong asset.
• Experience testing Canvas/WebGL applications (such as Pixi.js) is considered an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Detail and result-oriented with strong technical capability.
• Self-sufficient, independent in task execution, and capable of taking ownership of automated testing initiatives.
