Are you ready to take the reins and navigate the complex world of international trade? We’re looking for a Customs Agent to lead and optimize our global import and export operations. 

 

 

THE PERFECT TEAM MEMBER IS INSPIRED TO:

 

  • Manage Import and Export Processes: Oversee customs clearance for goods, ensuring compliance with all international trade regulations and standards
  • Handle Certificates and Documentation: Coordinate the preparation and validation of EUR.1 certificates, commercial invoices, and other critical export/import documents
  • Optimize Temporary Regimes: Administer temporary import/export regimes, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with applicable laws
  • Classify Products: Assign HS codes for tariff classification, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local and international customs requirements
  • Resolve Customs Issues: Act as the liaison between the company and customs authorities, addressing queries, disputes, or audits related to trade operations
  • Monitor Regulatory Updates: Stay informed of changes in international trade agreements, tariffs, and customs procedures to ensure the company remains compliant
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure all customs-related transactions are documented correctly, supporting audits and internal reporting needs
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with logistics, procurement, and finance departments to streamline trade processes and resolve operational challenges

 

 

THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:
    

  • Proven Experience: 3+ years in customs operations, with a strong focus on EUR.1 certificates and trade regimes
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, including tariffs and HS code classification
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with customs clearance platforms and software; advanced skills in MS Office applications
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing and reviewing customs documentation
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze trade data and provide actionable insights to optimize operations
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
