Contracts Legal Counsel

As our Legal team continues to grow and has now expanded to 15+ professionals, we are looking for a Contracts Legal Counsel to join us and take ownership of the full lifecycle of Amusnet’s agreements. In this role, you will be a key legal partner to the business, supporting a broad range of commercial matters with a strong focus on contract drafting, review, negotiation, risk assessment, and contract governance. We are looking for a professional who brings not only strong legal expertise and commercial judgment, but also honesty, openness, and a genuine team-player attitude.

 

 

THE PERFECT TEAM MEMBER IS INSPIRED TO:

 

  • Take the lead in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and revising a broad range of commercial agreements, including vendor, supplier, delivery, lease, service, consultancy, procurement, IP licensing, software and technology, confidentiality, marketing, partnership, and other key business agreements supporting the company’s operations and growth
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to the business on contract law matters, providing practical, commercially focused guidance on contractual rights, obligations, risk allocation, and the legal implications of key commercial terms
  • Take ownership of the full contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and internal review through negotiation, execution, amendment, renewal, and termination, while ensuring efficiency, consistency, and appropriate risk management
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key contractual provisions relating to liability, limitations of liability, warranties, payment terms, termination, dispute resolution, governing law, compliance, and the allocation of rights, obligations, and contractual remedies between the parties
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders on a day-to-day basis to structure, negotiate, and finalize agreements in a way that balances legal protection with business objectives and internal policies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks arising from contractual arrangements through pragmatic, solution-oriented, and business-focused advice
  • Enhance and maintain contract templates, fallback positions, and contract review processes to promote consistency, efficiency, and strong contract governance
  • Participate in external training on legal matters and professional development initiatives, including seminars, courses, and other continuing education programs

 

THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, gained either in-house and/or at a reputable full-service law firm, with a strong focus on commercial and contract law and substantial experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, is required
  • Solid expertise in corporate, commercial, and contract law; experience in additional areas such as employment, data protection and/or tax law would be considered an advantage
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and legal drafting skills, with the ability to assess complex matters carefully and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English, strong knowledge of another major language, such as Spanish, will be considered an advantage
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the eagerness to take initiative, assume ownership, and play an active role in driving legal matters and projects forward
  • Sound judgment and confident decision-making skills, with the ability to assess dependencies, balance legal risks and benefits, and remain focused on business objectives
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach to working with colleagues, stakeholders, and external advisers
